Blog Banners
My old banner needed a little color!
My sweet friend Gina came over and we worked on a new blog banner! I love her art and all the color she uses. She just finished a few custom orders and her new banner features some of her work. You can send her photos of your sweet little girl and she can do a painting for you. http://www.gbloomstudio.blogspot.com/
So I decided to add a little color to my banner as well and change things up a bit. I do love my American Flag Art but it's time to move on.

White Paper Flowers
Paper flowers for the Anniversary party. They really looked nice on the tables. I made about 24 of them and placed them next to the large candles. I just used plain card stock and photo copies of sheet music. Plus I added the glitter on the petals once assembled. If I had more time I would have done the glitter differently. It was a really easy project that cost very little to make.

50th Wedding Anniversary Fake Cake
I don't know what I was thinking. I had a little over a week to plan the center pieces and make a fake cake. I told my sister I was making a fake cake and she just didn't understand my vision. She already had a dessert planned for the event. So I've always wanted to make one and thought it can't be that difficult. What I had a difficult time with was the color gold. Gold is the color for a 50th Wedding Anniversary. Maybe it's because of all the gold in the 80's, it's just not a color I like. I mainly did the cake in black and white with a touch of gold. I took three small boxes and stacked them without the lids. Then I just started playing with paper. I think I would change a few things but overall I think Martha would be proud. Starbucks Love
The other day I walked to Starbucks and asked for decaf and I didn't get my normal decaf. When I got home I was so amped I made this wreath in a matter of minutes. Well, the bag said to recycle, reuse, repurpose I was just following orders. My hubby has a friend who works for Starbucks. So off it went back to Seattle. I'm also working on some paper flowers for my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary. I'll do a tutorial on them next week. ;) DE
